Slow to Speak

Quick To Listen…

My church gave me a free subscription to Right Now Media. And it’s awesome!

I’m watching a video series on the book of James and the pastor shared this:

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1:19-20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Quick to listen. Slow to speak.

He pointed out that right now, with everything social media, our world is missing out on that part as we try so hard to be heard.

I’ll post things and later ask, “Why would I even share that?” Or I’ll jump into posts and put my two cents in, even if it means sounding like something I know isn’t kind.

I enjoy my job. I help people succeed online. Yet sometimes I think I need to take a moment and stop so that I can listen. Because when I do, it brings me peace, reduces the noise and clamouring distractions, and minimizes the frustrations.
